The Cast List
After the very successful auditions we have now been able to
released the cast list, our congratulations to everyone
involved.
Principals
- Dick Whittington - Charlie Delaney
- Almost like part of the set, Charlie has performed with the
Chrysanthemums for the last 17 years, starring in most roles over
this time; dancer, fairy, principle boy and girl and camels rear
end. In what is likely to be her final run with the company.
Charlie looks forward to taking on the role of Dick. Outside of the
Chrysanths, Charlie has performed in other productions including
'Twelfth Night', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'The Life and
Times of Henry Tudor'. Her TV credits include The Culture Show and
LFC TV. In her spare time she is a member of the RAF Reserve
Forces.
- Alice Fitzwarren - Steph Hatten
- Steph is a veteran performer onstage and has been with the
Chrysanthemums for the past three years. As well as performing, she
has also written and directed productions for Wirral Borough
Council that have been well received. Steph has also appeared in
the channel 4 show Hollyoaks.
- Idle Jack - Luke Bennet
- Luke has been performing as an actor and dancer since the age
of six, and is excited to take his first part with Chrysanthemums.
He has performed in Wirral and Liverpool in several amateur
performances and in Blackpool recently in his first professional
show, The Billy Fury Story.
- Alderman Fitzwarren - Phil Gilroy
- Phil has been involved in amateur dramatics for five years,
appearing in pantomime as the dame as well as on three occasions
one of the 'idiots'. These have all been with St Albans players and
Phil is looking forward to appearing back at the Floral Pavilion in
a new role.
- Sarah Suet - Terry Davies
- For over tens years Terry ran a youth theatre workshop at the
Gladstone Theatre. He has performed over the years in plays,
musicals and pantomimes. Terry has played a dame for a number of
years for the Chrysanthemums and is looking forward to being Sarah
Suet the Cook this year.
- Cat Tommy - Hannah Bennet
- Hannah has been dancing with the Chrysanthemums since she was 5
years old. Now at 13 she is enjoying the opportunity of having the
role of the cat. Hannah has recently performed in the West Side
Story at the Liverpool Empire and sang and danced danced in a
professional production of The Billy Fury Story, in Blackpool.
- Captain Findu - Jed Flowerday
- Jed has played guitar since he was 14, at 18 he secured an
audition with a group from the TV show 'New Faces' and then toured
Germany. He has been a Chrysanth since 2985 and had played both
comedy and villainous roles, including idle Jack, Simple Simon,
Wishey, Abanazer and an Ugly Sister. Jed also played the role of
Bill Sykes in the Wallasey Operatic production of Oliver.
- Mate - Graham Leigh
- Graham has been involved with the Chrysanthemums for over 35
years, during which he has played many parts, including an ugly
sister in Cinderella and the King rat. Graham is looking forward to
playing Snatchit the rat catcher as he loves comedy. For the past
few years he has put his experience to helping produce the Panto
and writing scripts.
- Fairy Bowbell - Victoria Delaney
- Victoria has appeared in twelve Chrysanthemum Pantomimes and is
following a long tradition within her family as her Grandad, Mum
and Sister have all been members of the society. Victoria has
recently appeared in Guys and Dolls at Lymm High School and her
previous productions have included Sweeney Todd and Oklahoma. She
has also appeared in Jane Eyre and her TV credits include BBC
Two's, the Culture Show. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time with
the society with roles including a dancer, and one of the Babes in
Babes in the Wood. She is really excited to be performing this year
in her second leading role.
- Tutankhamen & Sam - Jessica Leigh
- Jessica has been involved with the Chrysanths since 1985 when
she appeared as a dancer aged 5. She has since progressed to
playing more senior roles including principal girl in Aladdin and
Jack & the Beanstalk. She is really looking forward to her
roles in Dick Whittington which is her first appearance in
pantomime at the new Floral Pavillion.
- King Rat - Jenna Watkins
- Although this is only Jenna's second year with the Chrysanths,
she is by no means a newcomer to the stage. Principal roles include
Muzzy (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Freuline Scneider (Cabaret),
Iysabel (Mort) and The Player (Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are
Dead). Jenna is a passionate choral singer, having been a member of
the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir & Liverpool Welsh
Choral Union for many years.
